The first thing I did the next day was go job searching on my computer. I wanted to join the journalism career, and I was overjoyed when I saw that there was an opening as a paper girl. I filled out a job application right away and to my surprise I was emailed back almost immediately. The email said that I had fit the job criteria so well that there was no way they could say no. They wanted me to attend a job interview at noon. My day had started out fantastic.
The interview had went so well that they wanted me to start working as soon as possible, which would be tomorrow. I was excited about finally getting one step closer to achieving my dream as a Star News Anchor. I also would be earning more money, which would allow me to replace the many old things in my home. My life away from my family was amazing so far. Everything was going how I wanted it to.
I hadn't really gotten the chance to explore Sunset Valley yet, and I thought that with all my success today I would reward myself and take a trip to the art museum. It was the perfect place to get inspired for a new novel that I was planning to write. The paintings were absolutely beautiful, and boy was I inspired by the time I left.
I made no hesitation to hop onto my computer and get started on my first novel when I got home. The ideas wouldn't stop flowing out of my head, and I was very proud of what I had written so far. But I had lost track of time and I freaked out at how late it had gotten. I had completely forgotten that I had to start work tomorrow.
I hated my work uniform, and I refused to take off my scarf since that was the only fashionable thing left to hold this hideous outfit together. Nonetheless, I was excited about my first day on the job. I had decided that the fastest way to earn a promotion was to build up a positive relationship with my boss Simis Bachelor.
My first day of work went very well surprisingly, and River McIrish even made me a deal. She said that if I could write a novel that earned at least $500 in royalties she would permanently raise my royalties. How could I say no? When I got home I started to work on my novel again, but I decided to take a break and chat. Simis was on, and I chatted with him as long as I could, trying to improve our relationship.
But even though my first couple of days in Sunset Valley were going so great, I couldn't help but still feel like something was missing. Or should I say someone was missing. I had never had my first kiss before, and I hadn't realized how much I wanted it before until now. Tomorrow I would make it a mission to meet some lovely new guys after work.
My plan had worked, and Simis gave me a promotion. I was climbing up the career ladder so quickly! But even better than the promotion itself was that I would no longer have to wear a uniform to work! I would also be earning more money. My dream was even a second step closer.
In order to celebrate my promotion I decided to take some time away from writing my novel and go visit Central Park. Well that was just a fancier way of saying 'man hunt'. Right away I noticed a guy sitting down at a table on his laptop. I figured we would probably have a lot in common, including a love for computers. I walked right up to him and introduced myself.
"Hello, my name is Raven."
"Cyclon3," he replied.
Sort of an odd name, I thought to myself. Oh well, I never really was one to be shallow.
Me and Cyclon3 really hit it off, and we really did have a lot in common. It turns out even our zodiac signs are compatible. He's a really nice guy, and I hope that we become more than friends in the nearby future. One thing's for sure though, I'll definitely be keeping in contact with him.
